Long-winding and tiring process with 7 or 8 interviews with different people, sometimes with pairs of people. The length of it was also not communicated so at no point did I have an idea how far along I was.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rokt (Sydney) in Nov 2022
Interview
You got feedback 2-4 days after each round, and they were clear what each new round entailed. This whole process took about 2 months. It was pretty long compared to other interview processes at other companies.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
IQ test - Basic maths/vocabulary/pattern-recognition. Hackerrank test - 4 questions, easy to hard. I didn't 100% every question, but they said I did well. Recruiter call - asks about interests. I said I was interested in the ML team. CS interview - Pair coding for string comparision. Questions about CS fundamentals. CS interview part 2 - asked about previous experience, and if you had this practical problem, how would you solve it? Bar raiser - this is like a behavioural interview. Non-technical VP asks about collaboration and leadership skills, and why they should hire you. For me, this was the hardest round. Starting with an IQ test is an off-putting first impression, but the rest of the interview is pertinent to job skills.
