Highly unprofessional with exceptionally poor communication from the two individuals I worked with through the hiring process. I initially had two phone screens for the role with an HR rep and one with the area manager. I was given verbal confirmation following the second call with the hiring manager that I was selected to move forward for an onsite interview. Over the next few weeks, I diligently followed up to set a date for an onsite as I was genuinely interested in this role due to my professional background.
On every occasion, the hiring manager would throw out a different excuse and say to check back in another week or two. This process continued for a full two months. The original HR rep became unresponsive following the first call and the hiring manager finally admitted there was a budgetary issue and that the position was entirely put on hold so moving forward with an onsite was not possible; however, they retained my information on file for the opportunity and mentioned I should re-apply this past month for the position.
Fast forward 6 months later, I reapply to the new posting and was not even screened for an introductory call. This is the most unprofessional hiring process I have participated in and I will not recommend this local branch to any of my colleagues to apply to.
