I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rockstar Games (San Diego, CA) in Sept 2011
Interview
First I received an email questionnaire with some technical programming questions. The first few were easy college stuff. The second few were tougher.
Next was a phone interview. They explained some of the company structure and some basic programming questions were asked.
Next was an onsite interview. They were willing to fly me but I was nearby so I drove up instead. After a quick tour of the offices, a few different teams rotated interviewing me, each focusing on different types of questions. Some math questions, some programming.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rockstar Games (Oakville, ON) in Dec 2024
Interview
The first and only step I took was with a recruiter. He was very professional and friendly and it went quite good overall speaking. Although, 2 weeks after I interviewed with him, he contacted me and told me that the dev team decided to not proceed with my application.
That's fine and it happens, I just wish they would've given me the reason(s).
I interviewed at Rockstar Games (Edinburgh, Scotland)
Interview
The interview process went along quite smoothly. The interview questions were not too bad, mostly involving C++ and vector math as well as general behaviour questions as with any interview.

Interview
It was smooth. They asked about the company and your role. They also made a huge effort you fit in the desired team. Then they asked bunch of questions regarding your experience, etc.
