Upon resume submission, HR contacted me immediately for phone interviews. The first two rounds of phone interviews were with two separate Treasury staff members. The interviewers were friendly , however extremely vague on the job responsibilities. Upon further discussion, I came to find out that Riot has no real Treasury department, systems or best practices; very basic and highly manual treasury operations managed in Excel. The third phone interview was with an accounting employee who was less experienced with Treasury, but seemed to know a bit about derivative accounting, scrutinizing me on the minute details of derivative accounting (for a Treasury operational role). They are big into their gaming culture and the interviews got exhausting after the third round because of the A-type personalities and their focus on culture and gaming, versus focusing on actual Treasury skills, operations, system, candidate soft skills or trade knowledge.
