      Director Interview

      19 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Jun 2019

      Interview

One of the slowest and unstructured interview processes I have ever come across. Candidate has to constantly chase and drive the process, people involved in the hiring process who have no background in the business area they are interviewing for. Whole process dragged on for 6 weeks before I called time and walked away. Am a customer of Revolut as well, but won't be now moving forward as if this is how poor they are hiring people dread to thing how bad they are at managing other peoples money

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Lots of questions bearing no relevance to the actual position or skills/experience required for the role. At a complete loss for who designed the process. Was even asked to put together a presentation on a task that had no relevance to my role or even the business area I work within ?

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Jan 2023

      Interview

HR screen, 2 skill interviews, bar raiser, problem solving with hiring manager. Process took less than 4 weeks via google meet. applied via linkedin for high level position requiring ExCo experience among others

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

After many steps, eventually I get to the last one. Meeting with the hiring manager who is also one of the general managers of the company. The interview was unprofessional and suitable for hiring a new graduate, not an executive. General manager had no previous experience in the field. Sounded like a joke.

Hi! Thanks so much for letting us know about it and please let me apologise for the unacceptable way in which you’ve been treated. We take all reviews very seriously and investigate any allegations of misconduct or unreasonable behaviour to avoid such situations and make Revolut a great place to work! All the very best!

      5 Jan 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut (Dublin, Dublin) in Sept 2020

      Interview

The interview process is focused on the needs of Revolut without respect for the candidate. They have 6 rounds of interviews and at each stage of the interview they make sure to tell you how 'hard the interview is because they only want the most elite talent'. Give me a break. The interview process is over 25 hours to see if you 'go the extra mile'. Give me a break. I would have preferred a more genuine interview process with the ability to have a back and forth conversation. I feel like they interviewed me, but were not aware that I was getting major red flags. Seems like a terrible place to work to be honest.

      30 Sept 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England)

      Interview

Applied for a senior role for experienced professionals. Revolut quickly organised a screening interview that went well. Then received an elaborate analytical home task. Spent hours analysing and preparing a presentation. Got congratulated that I successfully passed the task and they would soon come back with the next step. Then after a week of silence Revolut informed me that the position I was interviewed for was closed. The whole process was run by a contractor in Eastern Europe who probably was not well coordinated with the London head office. It is disappointing to spend hours on the analytical task only to be informed in a few days that the position was closed. Why to start recruitment process for a position that was about to be closed? Check with Revolut that the position you are applying for is really active before cracking the analytical task.
