I submitted my application and the next morning received a text message with a number to call to contact them and set up an interview. The first phone call was ~10 minutes. They asked about my degree and experience with programming and we set a date for a technical interview later the same week. I was given a study guide that covered OOP, Java (or C# depending on what you use), SQL, Web Development (HTML, CSS, JS) and the SDLC.
The technical interview was all question/answer, 100% based on the material from the guide, as long as you study it and can briefly describe everything you will be fine. My interview lasted ~10-15 minutes and was fairly easy.
I received a call the next morning saying I passed the interview and they went over expected pay, and set up an "interview" with their HR manager. They asked a few basic questions like “what got you interested in the field” and other similar questions. They then gave me a presentation so I could learn more about the company and really understand what it is that they do and what I can expect in the coming months. After the presentation I was sent an official offer document to electronically sign that stated my start date and expected pay throughout my time at Revature. I am now awaiting training and looking forward to getting started!
