I had my first interview with a licensed esthetician that now is in a leadership role who was lovely. Although, the second that I asked about their pay structure she clammed up a bit saying we can’t talk about it in this interview. I did make it to the next interview which was with one of the owners of this location. She was completely unprepared for my interview, stating her current disorganization with the opening of a new location. Prior to getting on this call I had notice a large discrepancy on the job posting with the salary range that made me very apprehensive. When I brought this up to the owner she said she had no idea what the job posting even entailed. To me, this shows such little regard for other people’s time and very little common decency. Once I was finally given the accurate hourly rate a few days later via email it was in fact much lower than what the job posting gave as a reference. Please stop wasting people’s time giving entirely different pay information. Especially in such an expensive city, the fact that you want to pay someone $23 an hour with no service commissions is inconceivable.
