      Sales Supervisor Interview

      2 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Las Vegas, NV
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Republic Services (Las Vegas, NV) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Applied online and immediately received a candidate number and that a recruiter will contact me shortly. Recruiter called me and had a basic 15-20 min phone screen interview. I was then set up with a face to face interview with the Sales Manager and HR Manager the following week. Interview was a bit challenging and lasted about 1hr. Great people and felt like a relaxed place to work, everyone there was at least 10 yrs in. Passed that interview and had a face to face a week later with the General Manager which is in charge of Nevada, Arizona, California, Utah and a few other states. He was awesome, started as a driver and worked his way up. This was more of a "why should I hire you" interview. At this point there were only 2 candidates and me being one of them. I sent thank you emails along the way but it was very unfortunate that the recruiter was very difficult to get a hold of. She was always out of the office and took a couple days for her to respond to my emails regarding updates. I went on 5 weeks before I reached out to the actual HR manager to see if she knew the status of my candidacy. She replied to my email the same day to notify me that they are going to hire an internal candidate!!! 5 Weeks to tell me no and I had to send numerous emails, call numerous times and I declined 2 other job offers because I had instant positive feedback and the recruiter let me know they thought highly of me. I was very disappointed how his was handled and I feel I was lied to along the way and the communication was horrible. I had high hopes because the GM was a great person and I would have loved to work for him.
