3 steps: talent recruiter, hiring manager, supervisor for RTA cabinets. All conducted on camera through microsoft teams. Each was polite but direct about expectations. I felt respected and gained insight to the pace.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Renovation Brands (Maine, ME) in Sept 2025
Interview
I was deciding between offers with another organization and Renovation Brands and the recruiter I was working with at Renovation Brands made the decision really easy for me. I met with 4 team members in leadership and I was notified of next steps within the hour following each interview, 3-week process w 4 interviews total. I thought their interview process would reflect how the company operates as a whole and really appreciated the transparency related to my candidate experience. The hiring team conducted themselves in textbook fashion and I couldn't be happier to be here.

Question 1
my first interviewer started with "tell me about yourself"
I asked if he wanted to know about my personal interests or work related/sales process. I'm glad I asked for clarification because the interviewer wanted to know about my personal interests outside of work.
I applied online. I interviewed at Renovation Brands
Interview
My experience with Renovation Brands started positively with an excellent recruiter. However, the subsequent interview was disappointing. The interviewer's demeanor was consistently rude, disrespectful, and condescending, leaving me with a sense of devaluation. Unfortunately, I felt that my treatment may have been influenced by my race, which was disheartening. It's crucial for companies to ensure uniform respect and fairness throughout the entire interview process.
