Don't waste your time with this corporation. Applied to an opening and contacted by an outside recruiter, in which my resume was submitted to Reliance Steel after a telephone discussion. I've been submitting to job listings outside of the US to other companies, which started occurring after my resume submission to Reliance Steel. Ofcourse, once Reliance Steel had my resume in hand, they used surveillance and eavesdropping on my cell phone to make an emotional rejection about my candidacy. US corporations (US citizens) seem to dislike US citizen candidates who apply to companies outside of the US and get negatively emotional about it, hence the rejection. Outside recruiter didn't get back to me in the week that was mentioned. The recruiter followed up with an email rejection based on lies, saying the client needs a specific IT skill. That specific skill isn't emphasized in the job description and it was used as an excuse. I'm well qualified for that role. Also, there was an element of hate speech in that rejection email by the recruiter. US citizens hating on a US citizen candidate (myself) is all that this amounts to. Reliance Steel's reviews speak for themselves and I'm not surprised by what I read or expect. Definitely pass on this one – way too corrupt. I like ethical companies and ethical people.
