Surprise drug test - 2 months for a response - Horrible benefits - Paid once a month - Pitiful Salary ($40k) - Odd and out of touch CEO - No PTO for first year- RUN AWAY. This was easily the strangest and most uncomfortable interview I’ve ever attended. I was immediately pulled into the CEOs office and was asked nothing but atypical interview questions. It was clear the CEO was just an old guy who had very little knowledge of the “3D” section of his company does. It was a very long interview and as a young female, the CEO made me a little uncomfortable. I understand he was just trying to get to know me but I just found the interaction to be fairly odd and informal. I also did not see the purpose of him taking so long to interview me when he had so little knowledge of the job I was applying for. I think the time would have been better spent having a department head interview me, or at least having them in the room. The one on one was odd and I really didn’t have any other interviews like that. A few weeks later I was called in for a second interview, this one was with the department head (his daughter), I waited 30 min for her to arrive but I felt that it was a good interview and we got along well. As I was leaving - with no answer on whether or not I was being hired - I was given instruction to get a drug test literally as I was walking out the door. I asked if I had the job as long as I passed the drug test and they said no and that they were still deciding but the test was necessary for them to continue to consider me. I found this extremely odd and I honestly should have just been done then and there but I was desperate. I took the drug test and passed, then had to call RLA every 2 weeks asking for an update on their decision, only to be pushed off each time. Then after I’d accepted another job (2 mo after this interview) they called me and offered me the job, which I joyfully declined as the job I accepted paid $25k more, actually had benefits and PTO, and wasn’t a depressing cubical job where no one talks to each other.
