      Field Applications Engineer Interview

      23 Apr 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Frankfurt am Main
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Real-Time Innovations (Frankfurt am Main) in Feb 2026

      Interview

3 months interview process, 6 interview rounds including a presentation round. The interview process at Real-Time Innovations was structured, professional, and overall a positive experience. It consisted of multiple stages, including an initial technical screening, followed by deeper technical interviews covering automotive systems, networking concepts, and a coding exercise. There were also behavioral and sales-fit discussions focusing on customer interaction, communication skills, and motivation for the FAE role. One round involved a technical presentation, where I was able to choose a topic related to my expertise. This was followed by detailed Q&A with a panel, assessing both technical depth and the ability to explain complex topics clearly. Throughout the process, the interviewers were knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely interested in understanding my background. Communication from HR was prompt and transparent. Overall, the process strongly emphasizes problem-solving ability, system-level thinking, and the capability to bridge technical and customer-facing responsibilities. Before the offer referral check from 2 coworkers was also included in the process.
