Multiple interviews. Took an extensive unpaid assessment against my gut because I've been out of work in this job market. Unfortunately, I'm desperate. They seem like they are very unorganized, had to chase them for feedback and then ghosted me.

I received an email inviting me to a phone interview with their talent acquisition person. The phone interview went well. I was then asked to participate in an Art Direction Assessment. It was a very large task in which I was happy to participate in. I spent 30 hours (unpaid) to create a photoshoot style guide deck/presentation for a hypothetical brand including copywriting. I am an art director, NOT a copywriter! I was told that my creative and design work hit the mark, but the voice/copywriting missed the mark. Well, duh! I'm not a copywriter! So, ADs and graphic designers BEWARE! If I knew this beforehand, I would never have spent my (unpaid) time on this agency. Plus, it took them over three weeks to get back to me - and I had to reach out to them.
