It was all very simple. I applied online and then got a request to schedule an interview with the Office Manager and the department head. I never had the typical HR screen, which honestly was a nice change of pace. I understand why companies screen but this was a much quicker process. I had my video interview and it was all very straight forward. They asked about my resume and experience. They wanted to know a little about myself and they explained the role. They asked very standard what would you do in certain situation type questions. They then fielded questions. It was a very compact and simple interview which I enjoyed. I was crushed when I got the email that I was no longer under consideration the following day. The job was reposted to be filled about 10 days later so they clearly hadn't found someone yet. I am really struggling to understand how they viewed my interview so negatively as to keep searching 20 days later. I consider myself a relatable, professional and courteous person and it's hard to imagine that didn't come across in the interview. My experience was a very natural progression for the role as well. One of those interviews that just didn't seem to add up. I have had interviews I knew immediately after hanging up that the fit and qualifications just wasn't going to work in my favor but I felt good about this one. Oh well. As stated before, everything expect the result was a pleasant experience.
