What is the point of making someone come onsite to do a panel interview with the majority of the interviewers offsite on video? Only met one person onsite and they seemed at a loss as to how to host an interviewee. Once the interview started several of the folks calling in via video remained off screen. It should be a common standard to be on video if you're making someone do a video screen via panel.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rails to Trails Conservancy (Fairfax, VA) in Apr 2021
Interview
It was one interview with two team managers. They asked me personal questions about myself and my work experience in the nonprofit sector. It was very casual and they were actively trying to get to know me.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rails to Trails Conservancy (Washington, DC) in Jul 2019
Interview
This was a position whose roles were split between two departments. I had a screening call with HR and then had a meeting with the two hiring managers. They were both really nice, the woman seemed a little more easy going. I didn't make it past this round so can't comment on the rest of the process.
