      Operations Leadership Development Program Interview

      12 May 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX in Oct 2020

      Interview

My interview process was 100% virtual. The company hosted a virtual information session at my university about the LDP program and to apply online. About a week after I submit my application, I had a phone interview with a current manager that had gone through the LDP program themselves. I then completed a HireVue the same day with the same questions the manager asked me. About two weeks later I get invited to the final round which is called Super Day. In the few days leading up to Super Day, I am told to create two PowerPoint presentations to be presented on Super Day. One is a case study that requires me to form solutions to the situation described, and the other requires me to identify a current problem facing the company and to create a solution for it. The Super Day was virtual, though I was told in the past candidates were flown out to Raytheon HQ at this stage. The actual day consisted of presenting your PowerPoint slides, a panel interview, and a group collaboration where you have 15 minutes to brainstorm and then present ideas. In between all this you are networking with Raytheon employees in breakout rooms. Offers were extended shortly after Super Day.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX in Jan 2025

      Interview

Fairly quick interview process. First round was through Hirevue and second round was a virtual "super day". It was a combination of behavioral questions and questions about a case they provide ahead of time. Created a slide deck to present during the interview based on the case. Then all applicants came together to analyze new details about the case and developed a new presentation to present with a short turn around. Fairly low threat. Everyone was very accommodating.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Can you tell me about a time when you had to deal with a co-worker or subordinate who was being difficult or who was difficult to work with? How did you handle and resolve the issue?
