Just one interview. It was a fairly informal chat going over my CV and my previous experiences. Talked about what the role would involve, where I would like to be based etc. Also a short species test (only about 10 species) to gauge my current knowledge. The interview with the head of department was very promising and it sounded as if I would be offered a seasonal or permanent role. However, I heard nothing for about three weeks following the interview and got no response from emails or phone calls. I was finally told that I would find out the outcome the following week - this was over a month ago now and still nothing! I have since interviewed and accepted another job.
