I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at RH (Columbus, OH) in Nov 2020
Interview
Received an email shortly after applying asking a few questions regarding availability, company culture, luxury service expectations, etc. After replying, a Zoom interview was scheduled.
This first interview was great! The interviewer was friendly and it felt like more of a conversation versus me just spewing answers with no reply.
The second interview, however, was a complete waste of time. First, this interviewer asked the exact same questions as the first. About 10 minutes into my interview, the manager hopped on the call so I had to repeat my answers for the THIRD TIME.
The manager didn’t seem very personable and I could tell I wouldn’t enjoy working for them.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RH in May 2025
Interview
I had a virtual interview with one of the Customer Experience Leads, and then an in person interview with one of the other Customer Experience Leads and the department manager.

Question 1
Why am I wanting to change jobs (been with my previous employer for over a decade) and why RH?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RH (Corte Madera, CA)
Interview
This is like an Ivy League interview process. One phone screening. Three interviews followed that over Zoom. The second two interviews had two people in them. Customer service expectation is extremely high-this may have been the most difficult interview process of my retail career. Company culture is huge here-you must appreciate Gary’s vision or you’re out. They are really picky about who they hire to answer customer service calls. Like, big time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you provided superior customer service.
How do you handle difficult customers?
It was very relaxed and casual. They asked me maybe one or two questions. After describing my work experience they had me ask all the questions. Felt like I was interviewing them.
