The R&D Dynamics Interview process took over 6 hours all told. On my first visit, I met with personnel, filled out several applications and releases, and then spend a few minutes with the "President/ owner". Then spent over 3 hours in the conference room being interviewed by several employees/ co-workers before being given a tour of the "facility". Sent away with no feedback other than "we'll call you".
Almost the next day I received a phone call asking me to come in for a final interview with the "President" of the Company. When I arrived again, I was escorted to the same conference room by the HR person. The "President's" office was adjacent to one wall and I could hear him talking. I sat alone in the room for over 30 minutes. The HR person just happened to walk by in the hallway, saw me sitting alone and asked "OH, didn't he come in and talk to you?" No he did not.......
She meekly knocked on his door and after some low volume conversation she came back to the conference room and asked me to leave and come back in 45 minutes. HOW PROFESSIONAL!! But wait, it gets better.......
After sitting in the local Dunking Donuts with a coffee and to trying to talk myself into not just leaving because of the time I had invested in the interview process, I went back. The "Pres" was still in his office and reluctantly came into the conference room.
However, he:
1) Changed the description and parameters of the job from a full time/ benefits position to a "we'll see how you do" temporary position,
2)WOULD NOT DISCUSS SALARY WITH ME!! Honest! Wait... It gets even better!!!!...... Then....
3) He told me to go home and think about it!!!! THINK ABOUT WHAT?
Almost 7 hours of driving back and forth, prepping for a panel interview, being treated in a completely unprofessional manner and lied to, and I'm to "think about it?"
I don't know what the story is with this place but it appears that this one small, frail elderly man controls everything, and that is what keeps him going. (You might even have to see him for a bathroom "hall-pass".) R&D Dynamics placed the ad for the job themselves- it was NOT listed through an agency.
The "owner" was the most unprofessional, disrespectful and condescending person that I have ever dealt with in a professional encounter.
Don't waste your time interviewing for R&D Dynamics unless you are a glutton for punishment and disrespect. You can get that anywhere for free. One could only imagine that while working there you would be treated in much the same way.
