Quest Workspaces Operations Manager interview questions

I applied online and was called to schedule an in person. They asked for my availability and I requested Friday and they told me they wanted to fill the position faster so I scheduled an interview for Tuesday. I showed up for my interview 10 minutes early and the person interviewing me was 30 minutes late. The interview went so well that I was told I moved to the next round and they would call the following day to schedule my second interview because he was really impressed. 2 days later I called to follow up and was told they were still interviewing needed a week to decide who would make it to the next round even though I was already told that I did make it and that they were trying to fill the position before Friday. I get an email 5 minutes later stating they filled the position. I Called to follow up with the individual who interviewed me to see if there was an error considering he told me he definitely wanted me for the next round and there is no answer. I come from a professional background where if you aren't interested then just say so. I am disappointed with the lack of communication and the fact that everyone who works there is on a different page. I feel like I dogged a bullet.
