I applied in-person. I interviewed at Qatar Airways (Bangkok)
Interview
Tons of applicants during walk-ins, imagine coming in early morning just to get interviewed in the evening. 2 days interviewing process, first day they evaluate your appearance, grooming, demeanor and most importantly English test. Second day, group and personal interview. Then they follow up with email. Bad experience on my part, location (hotel) staffers didn't treat you as equals for some reasons. Felt like beauty pageant competition, they look for tats and scars visible. Don't fall for them asking you to reveal the tats and scars in covered areas. They seem to rank you lower because of that, it's weird. Very obsolete approach since you can always cover them up with foundation and such.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Personal: How to deal with difficult demanding passengers, How to decline politely, Only 2 tickets left which customer would you offer to. Your work experience, your background.
Group: Discussions on social issues, a bit of politics; they assess on your communication skills, did you include everyone in, did you listen, lead the convo, how to interrupt politely, and conclude.
It was smooth and well-organised, so I had a good experience. You should know the basics of your job to answer the questions. The company itself is so professional. Although there was a 2-3 minute delay.
