I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Publix (Greenville, SC) in May 2018
Interview
Applied in the store (at the time you could only apply inside the store) and spoke to the Customer Service Manager. A few days later, I got a call scheduling for an interview within a few days with the Store Manger. I only had one interview, but sometimes there are 2 interviews. One with a manager in your department, and one with the store manager. If you get the interview with the store manager, you basically got the job as long as you're honest and don't mess up badly. The interviews are very laid back. Come in dressed nicely and try not to be too nervous and you'll do well.
Fairly quick and easy, Ask you the basic questions that you receive on the application then they follow up with an immediate drug test by sticking something in your mouth until it fills with saliva.

Question 1
What would you do if you had a conflict with a coworker or customer?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Publix (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
Interview was piece of cake. Took a longish survey that wasnt too hard, and the manager took me aside and did a short interview later on. pretty generic questions, i was just a high schooler looking for a job so nothing very hard at all

Question 1
how id react to certain situations that might occur in the store, mainly involving interacting with customers who needed help
The interviewer (manager) asked questions that I answered. I must have answered them correctly because I got the job. I knew once I was there I was there. That's how I would describe the interview process.
