The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential plc (Singapore)
Interview
The interview was with an investment subsidiary of Prudential.
After the first interview, everything that followed was quite unfocussed and seemingly irrelevant to the role. There were rounds after rounds of "behavioural" panel interviews that dragged the process out to several weeks (maybe 2 months?). When asked, the interviewers had no idea how the candidate's role related to them and seem to have little understanding of the role and the candidate's domain area, but pretending to know. What a waste of time! These interviews lack focus and some on the panel, being non-native English speakers, seem to have difficulty understanding the responses. The profile of the interviewers also suggest that they might prefer someone from a certain locality.
Perhaps they were stalling for time in order to consider a pool of candidates, but hey, please appreciate that candidates usually are interviewing with other companies concurrently and time is critical in any recruitment process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential plc (Hong Kong) in Aug 2023
Interview
Team lead and a tech guy. Seems really nice and professional, smooth and lasted an hour or so. They explained interview many applicants already and all don't seem like the right fit. When I left the interview, team lead gave me a positive feedback and expect HR to negotiate with you. Waited 2 weeks, never heard anything and my status is still interview a month later. Guess what, 3 months later the job is still there but changed name.

Question 1
Tell me about your past experience. Some of the questions they asked were for the sake of asking. When you respond, they couldnt make sense of it because never experienced it. Tech Qs werent really Tech Qs. Just know yourself more and dont let them lead the interview.
