      Senior Actuarial Analyst Interview

      4 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Newark, NJ
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Prudential (Newark, NJ) in Sept 2013

      Interview

First, there was a phone interview about my technical skills and then an in-person interview that got more personal like which math courses I enjoyed most in college and what I value in a team setting. Honestly, I thought I didn't get the job from the phone interview because the first person I spoke with was rather rude and sounded like he didn't want to be doing the interview. Fortunately, the second person was friendlier and although she turned out not to be once I started working with her.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is your favorite function in Excel? R? What was your favorite theoretical math course?
