      Financial Advisor Interview

      29 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Brick, NJ
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Prudential (Brick, NJ) in May 2015

      Interview

For my first time meeting with them, I walked in, we sat down and I was asked a few basic interview questions. Then they had me take an hour long test. It was math based with a little common sense mixed in. Many, if not most, of the questions seemed to have 2 correct answers. Overall the test was fairly easy, I passed. Then once the interviewer had seen I passed the test, she went on with the interview process and asked other questions. The only thing I didn't like is that I was told that I was just coming to take a test and to do the first part of the interview. Then once I got there they changed their mind and said, "actually let's do all of the interview right now". I didn't feel prepared for that. So, warning, just be prepared. Also, I didn't like that the position was more focused on sales than actually advising. It was more about selling their insurance, that's more so how you make your money.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Q: What made you want to do financial advising?
      Answer question

      Question 2

Q: How would you rate your ability to do sales?

      Financial Advisor Interview

      3 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Brookfield, WI
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Prudential (Brookfield, WI)

      Interview

Conversational. Almost seemed more like they were trying to sell me on the concept of working there. The language and metrics used to describe the job seem to exaggerate reality.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you feel about cold outreach/talking to people you don't know?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Prudential in Jan 2026

      Interview

Very easy process. One round virtual and then two in person with the regional hiring manager. Very conversational and laid back. The second in person interview was mostly going over information regarding the commission structure

      Financial Advisor Interview

      27 Dec 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Prudential

      Interview

Thorough and quick, though consistent contact was a bit of an issue. I was a bit confused about time and the employee did not show up to the first scheduled interview, as there was a bit of a gap with regards to communication.
