I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential
Interview
Initial phone screen which was standard, nothing exceptional, just going over the company & some of my experience for about half an hour. The main issue arose during the technical interview.
Contrary to most other technical assessments I've undergone, the engineers I worked with at Assurance IQ were absolutely NOT interested in any kind of pair programming, thinking out loud, or back and forth discussion. Essentially you are given 2 hours to answer an algorithm-related question, and that's it. The engineers conducting the interview were not interested in following the logic to answer the question, I could tell that they were purely interested in getting the correct answer.

Was given a phone screening on zoom where interviewer had camera off. Afterwards I was sent a link to complete a coding assessment online. This was done using Hacker rank.
The interview will mostly focus on behavioral questions, which are designed to get a sense of how you’ve handled different situations in the past. They’ll ask you about specific moments in your career where you’ve had to navigate challenges, work with a team, or make decisions under pressure. These kinds of questions help interviewers understand how you approach problem-solving and whether your approach will work in the role you’re applying for.
