      Computational Physicist Interview

      14 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Proxima Fusion in May 2024

      Interview

Had several rounds of ~30 min interviews (5 if I remember correctly). First one was pretty basic with HR. The following interviews where with some of the head scientists and the CEO, some of them where more geared towards plasma physics others about coding but the main trend was they tried to gauge how you analysed the problems they where posing.

      Question 1

How would you model the diffusion of ink in a circular body of water?
