      Program Coordinator Interview

      25 May 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Providence (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Three separate phone screens. The first one was with a recruiter. Then, a phone screen with a hiring manager. I was brought in for a round of interviews - I spoke with three managers. That went well so I had a phone screen with one more hiring manager and met with that specific hiring manager. This all happened over about two weeks. I was made an offer about a week after the last interview.

      Question 1

The hiring manager asked for an example of when a project or task didn't go as planned and what happened.

      Interview

Just a few days after applying for this position I received an invitation to interview. It was an "on-demand" video interview, which I had never heard of before. Basically, applicants are prompted to answer a series of questions using a video recording program. Applicants are given two attempts to record their responses and that is it. If you don't like your response on the second go around, then too bad. I get that virtual interviewing is the new norm right now, but not having another person to interact with was horribly awkward. It wasn't a conversation but rather a rehearsed answer. Showing personality is hard enough in a virtual interview and this format makes it even more difficult. I'm not surprised I didn't get a call back for a second interview. But honestly, I think it speaks volumes that Providence won't set aside thirty minutes to conduct a phone interview so it's probably for the best.

The usual interview questions were asked, I wasn't surprised by any of them.
