First conversation was with a recruiter hired by the company. She explained that they were hiring more seasoned sales professionals because they wanted to move their sales to a more strategic process. This turned out not to be true, it's a dialing for dollars operation and that's exactly how you are measured in meetings with the boss. He busts out a spreadsheet and asks you why you didn't make more calls. Next phone convo was with the Director of Sales & Marketing and finally a face-to-face interview with him and the owner.
