      IT Support Specialist Interview

      16 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Burlington, KY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Promevo (Burlington, KY) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Okay, where to begin? I had a pleasant phone interview with HR to begin the process. Then, had an in-person interview with the same female HR person and a project manager (I think?) They were both pleasant enough, but was told that I would need to reschedule for another interview due to the "Managing Partner" being unable to attend as scheduled. I came back for a third interview and 15 minutes into talking with the HR girl (pleasant and we have famed a pretty good relationship by this point), in comes the "Managing Partner" (Or CEO as over 150 reviews between this site and Indeed have referenced). He bursts in, panicked, in bicycle shorts and workout shirt, saying that they had a case of fraud or something and he only had 10 minutes. He asked me a couple of questions and upon my answers, cut me off and said I was taking too long or going into too much detail. I honestly didn't know what to say or do. He exited without any acknowledgement or "have a good day", "nice to meet you". Nothing. The entire experience was completely surreal. I walked out and down the stairs with the HR girl and commented that I don't think it went very well. She answered, shortly, that he was just busy. I came back home and immediately googled the guy because the experience was so surreal. I then saw ALL of the bad reviews, even stating how he was always busy without doing anything and how he would disappear to the gym. I could believe it. By the way, the guy looks like he's never even seen a gym, despite the reviews and his attire at my interview. Full disclosure: I was sent an email stating that I didn't get the job. However, I honestly would be writing this review anyhow. And, after seeing the comments and reviews, would not work at this place if hell froze over. These negative reviews go back years stating how bad and corrupt he and his company are, but they are still in business and making money - not sure how this has happened. I feel like my interview preparation and time were completely wasted in this whole process and I'm confident they were not appreciated by the interviewing party in the least. Looking back at the interview (2 weeks ago), I'm still completely appalled and shocked at the whole experience. Just a bizarre experience. One last thing, as pointed out in the reviews, one can tell that the positive comments about this company are completely staged. They are clumped and dated together as if they have alts or order people in the company to post them. I also get a chuckle out of the responses by company to the negative responses. They are so generic and scripted as if prepared by an attorney or something.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I honestly don't remember. The outlandish experience of the interview makes my memory of the questions fuzzy.
