PCS (Professional Consulting services AKA Mehta and Pazol consulting) Pune conducted walk-in at Lalani Qantum.
They had listed the no. of rounds for interview next to entrance door itself. This was good to see. I guess, these were the rounds:
- Technical programming test on paper
- Personal Interview Technical - I
- Personal Interview Technical - II
- HR round
I attended one round wherein we (4 candidates) were taken to conference room for written programming test. At this moment, HR tells you that the company has legal bond of 2 yrs and asks if anyone has any problem. I don't understand, why they don't write in the walkin details itself when they post walkin ad online. They tell you this, when you have traveled so far and sit for test in their conference room.
The technical person explained the problem (quite in detail) and you are tasked to write program for solving the problem in any programming language of your choice on paper. I think, 30 mins are given for solving it.
I failed the test purposely as there was bond of 2 years. These were the conditions:
- 2 years bond - if you break, you have to pay 3 months salary
- 3 month notice period
Looks like their policies are stringent considering they were small company approx. 70 employees.
My impression of the company is like they are more strict in the sense, like they frisk existing employees bag before they go indoors. They tell candidates to switch off your mobile phones. Looked like they all were programmed to follow processes and they did not deviate from it. HR people didn't seem of welcoming nature (no smiles).
The office was neat and clean. There was a big cafeteria with tables and chairs arranged. Their developer sitting arrangement was not cubicle structure. 4-5 employees sitting on one long desk adjustant. Conference rooms were all glass transparent fully.
