Interview
The interview process was very formal. I had a total of Five Interviews. I applied for the job online with the HR director. She did a phone interview to see what my interest and abilities were. She then schedule me for four more interviews. Each interview was with a group and was a combination of various department leads. My first interview was with HR and Design, the department I would be joining. I met with the Design Director and the design staff I would be working with directly. After this interview I was asked to return and meet with Engineering, Estimating, and the head of Development. Same type of meeting each time, but I would cater my presentation based on the audience. Focusing on elements of my portfolio that would matter most to that group. My Third Interview was with production and sales. My final Interview was with the president and the CFO. I was then approved by all departments and given an offer. When I started it was nice because each department had an idea of what I would be bringing to the company. I now had names and contacts and understood the companies entire process.

Question 1
The most unexpected questions were related to my personal life and what I was looking for in my future at work and outside of work. This surprised me because it was very different then my previous employer. I later found out that it was during those discussion that I really stood out.
