Very strange interview. I got called for a F2F meeting very soon after I applied. However, once I was there, I found the interviewer to be very arrogant. I was told that I would be expected to work up to 11 hours per day, and weekends. Having a background in Healthcare IT and application support, I am well aware that implementations can require long and late hours, but that is usually just for the Go-live phase - not on an ongoing basis. Once I heard this, I was incredulous, and asked how the other Trainers adjusted to this. The IT director said that they loved it, and were happy when they saw "all that overtime" on their paychecks. Then salary was brought up, and I was floored at how little they were offering for that kind of commitment. Needless to say, quality of life is important to me, as is salary and neither one of them seemed realistic. I knew there was no way I could consider the position. I don't know who those other employees are, but I don't see how they can be happy - at least not for the long term.
