I interviewed for the Lead Recruiter role and found the process to be quite long and at times unclear. It seemed the team was still working to define what they truly needed in the role, which led to some misalignment across interviewers.
The process was managed by an external recruiter, and communication gaps sometimes made it difficult to know where things stood. I met with several team members across multiple rounds and was asked to complete multiple projects that required significant time and research. While I understand the desire for thorough evaluation, the volume of work requested felt excessive for a senior-level role.
In the end, I received a short note that they were not moving forward, without any feedback or context. Overall, it felt like a team still developing its hiring practices and expectations. The team was clearly passionate about the company’s mission but could benefit from a bit more openness during interviews to make the process feel more collaborative.
I think once they bring in a strong recruiting leader to help align expectations and structure the process, candidates will have a much smoother and more positive experience.
