I applied online. I interviewed at Primark (Epsom, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
New store opening so interview process was different to an established store.
After an online application and short online assessment, I was invited to a mass recruitment “interview”, where I was in a group with approximately 30 others in my preferred time slot.
We signed in at a desk, received a name tag and were directed to a room with a video showing, which was all about Primark. Then we were moved into another room and given a short presentation outlining the interview and offer process, available shift patterns, salary and what to expect after the interview.
After this, we were led to a hall where approximately 40 managers were seated at individual tables, and we were individually directed to whoever was free. The managers were from all over the UK.
The interview itself was very straightforward and low pressure. It started by confirming my details, availability, salary expectations, any criminal convictions. Then moved onto questions of which there were about 8.
Given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview and was wished good luck. I expect to hear from them within 10 days.
Interview questions [5]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to make a hard decision and how you made that decision
One on one with the team manager of the department which i was about to get hired. He asked me situasional question like "How would you deal with an angry customer?" or "How do you cooperate in team when you have a bad day"
In the interview, I was told about the working hours and was asked several behavioural questions, as well as why I want to work at Primark and what I know about the Company and its values.
The process begins with an online assessment to evaluate initial skills and qualifications, and candidates who pass this stage are then invited to attend a formal in-person interview for further evaluation.
