I applied for the position as seen on monster.com and was given a phone call a few days later asking me to come in and interview for the position of "Assistant Project Manager". I scheduled my interview for first thing in the morning, met with the hiring manager and the very first thing I was told was that they don't hire managers from outside the company, and every person starts at the entry level position. It was a bit off putting considering over the phone I was told I'd be interviewing for a management position. I continued with the interview, the initial interview took about 25 minutes and I was told I'd hear back around 4 pm if I was selected for the next round of interviews, which I did (They made it seem like they were selecting only 3-4 out of 25-30 applicants, but I suspect almost everyone gets a call back). I came in for my second round interview which consisted of going out in the field with a current employee, which is where I discovered this "Assistant Project Manager" position was nothing more than going door to door trying to get people to sign up for something. I was offered the position later that day and turned it down.
