I had a very disappointing interview experience with PTR.
I was initially contacted on LinkedIn by a senior recruiter about potential sales opportunities. I replied expressing interest and never received a response. Thinking my message may have been overlooked, I followed up again and still received no response.
Later, I applied directly for an inside sales position on their website. The same recruiter reached out by email to schedule an interview. I scheduled the interview, but it was canceled a few hours beforehand with the message, "Need to reset this one." I replied asking whether they needed to reset the meeting link or reschedule the interview and received no response.
The next day, I received another automated scheduling email and set up a new interview. During the interview, the recruiter told me I would be moving forward to a second round and explained what to expect and when I would hear back.
The date came and went with no communication. I followed up by email and received no response. After another follow-up a week after that date, I was finally informed that they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
What made the experience especially frustrating was the lack of communication throughout the process. Between unanswered messages, a last-minute cancellation, missed follow-up timelines, and needing to repeatedly reach out for updates, the process felt disorganized and unprofessional.
I understand that not every candidate will be selected, but candidates deserve timely communication and basic follow-through. I would not recommend this hiring process to other candidates and would not apply to PTR again.
