I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Precor
Interview
Quite possibly the worst and most biased interview I've ever had. It was just a test that you do over video with several "match the belt with its name" questions. At one point, I got frustrated, and the interviewer told me I would need to know this if I were going to be an engineer on the team. I responded that I didn't know the names of all the belts and gears, but I'd be happy to learn if given the opportunity. Very little discussion of actually abilities or experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Multiple pages where you connect the belt with the name of the belt, gear with the name of the gear, screw/fastener with the name of the fastener, stress/strain diagram with the material, etc
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Precor (Woodinville, WA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Multiple phone calls followed by in-person interview. There was more talk about how "forward thinking" they were and if I was OK with new technology. They stressed work/life balance was important and that there was an option to work flexible hours.
