After a quick telephone interview with a recruiter I was invited to a face to face interview. At the first interview there were two interviewers, and I was assessed on both my technical and soft skills. There were no specific questions about any particular coding language but more just generally how you would go about organising a project. After the technical interview there was a second stage interview to meet two other members of staff. This involved general chit chat about the role and why you, the candidate, would be an asset to Praesto.

Very bad interview experience. The interview started 15 minutes late because the male interviewer was on the phone when I arrived. It didn't sound like an important call as I overheard him behind the door. Next, the interview starts. A few general questions, followed by a project management case study and ended with CV related questions. They provided a topic with 20 minutes time to plan the project. The female interviewer was a knowledgeable PhD with very relevant questions. But the male was unprofessional, inexperienced with a child-like attitude. His questions were irrelevant to the position that I applied for and mostly vague! After a few nonsense questions he was told of by the female interviewer. After he realised he is not being taken seriously, he started taking the interview personally and kept on asking questions to proof himself right for the rest of the interview. I would have expected both interviewers to be seniors in the company but that was clearly not the case for the male interviewer. Speaking of the company, it's strange that they don't have main offices and work on client-side offices! Because of this you would be traveling all the time inside the country and that doesn't make any sense. Their business in the BI side of things is quite old from the look of it. At the moment of the interview it doesn't look like they had any solution to target the cloud-based business intelligence which means they are quite behind from their competitors in the market.
