Interview
I had two phone interviews - an initial screening and then a call with a recruiter. I was then invited to the office for an interview, which consisted in 5 rounds with 5 different people, lasting about half an hour each. The process was really repetitive and exhausting, and many of the interviewers were rushing to get through the interview.

Interview
The interview process was good overall, with questions that were clear, relevant, and to the point. They reflected the responsibilities of the role and the practical challenges involved very well.
Internal hire; not as exhaustive as an external hire. The questions were more unique to my background within the company. External applicants can expect more varied questions due to a more unfamiliar background.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Politico in Mar 2026
Interview
The process was 5 rounds beginning with a phone screen interview with a recruiter, two back-to-back zoom interviews the day after with two team members, an assignment due by the beginning of the next week, and followed by a final in-person interview with senior team members. The process moved very swiftly with the recruiter keeping me posted on next steps and giving helpful tips. I really enjoyed speaking with everyone I met. All in all, the interview process took about 1 month. I did have to follow up a week after my final round to hear from the recruiter that they ended up going with an internal candidate. Overall, a good experience but unlucky result. The recruiter also sounded apologetic over the phone about wasting my time.
