      Interview

The HR team needs to communicate properly with candidates when arranging a time and date for initial first stage interviews and should allow the candidate to have enough preparation time for the role and not put them on the spot to conduct the interview when they call. This gives a bad impression on the organisation in how they deal with things.

      Interview

The recruitment process for the most part was good, keeping me well informed on the stages of my application. I really appreciate and is the first for me, being provided with the interview questions prior to the interviews, which meant I had enough time to research a concise response. However, I did feel that questions about motivations for applying to the company and the role were repetitive, I was asked in my application, telephone and face to face interview. It does come across as they just want to hear people sing praises about them. I presented a presentation at the face-to-face interview, providing enough information to visualise the proposed concept. However, it seemed that they wanted some kind of mock-up design, disguising the request as "we would like to see your design skills", is a bit suspect to me. Afterall, this was an interview, and I’m not employed with them, so I think that was cheeky. Lastly, I don't know why I had to ask for feedback on my interview and presentation, they should have pre-empted that candidates would request this information, and I see this a flaw in their recruitment process.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on the recruitment process for the Marketing Officer role. We are pleased to hear that you found receiving the interview questions in advance helpful. For all of our positions at Police Now, we explore candidates’ interest and understanding of our organisation, and cover these areas across all of our stages as we are keen for candidates to demonstrate their genuine commitment to our mission as this is incredibly important to us. We are appreciative of your feedback of it feeling repetitive so we will endeavour to review the language of the questions. When hiring for creative roles like a Marketing Officer, we ask to see visuals as part of the task, purely for the purpose of providing an opportunity for candidates to provide an example of their creative approach, we hope this gives you some reassurance. Thank you for your time during the recruitment process and for providing feedback on your experience. Wishing you all the best. Police Now
