The hiring manager seemed disengaged from the start, barely asking questions related to the role or how my experience could be a good fit. His disinterest was palpable, and he seemed intimidated by my level of experience, which likely contributed to his passive demeanor. It was evident that he hadn't reviewed my technical test, as he only inquired if it was completed without delving into any details. Ultimately, I didn't receive an offer, possibly due to a combination of the company's inability to match the market value salary for my experience and the manager feeling I was overqualified, which may have made him uncomfortable. Overall, it was a disappointing interview experience. However, I'm not disappointed with the outcome, as there were several red flags. Additionally, I was left hanging for an update and had to chase down the status of my application.
