Lengthy Hiring Process and Time-Consuming Assessment
I applied for a Junior PHP Developer position on December 15, 2025. While the interviewers were professional and the technical questions were relevant to the role, the overall recruitment process felt unnecessarily long.
The first assessment was sent on December 29 and was described as taking 20–30 minutes. In reality, it took me over two hours to complete because of the large number of questions. More accurate expectations regarding the assessment length would be appreciated.
After submitting the assessment, I waited approximately three weeks for the HR interview and another two weeks for the technical interview. As a result, the hiring process extended beyond two months.
The technical interview lasted around 28 minutes and included more than 15 questions. While the questions were relevant, the pace felt quite fast and left limited opportunity to discuss answers in depth or demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Overall, my main concerns were the lengthy timeline, communication delays between stages, and the mismatch between the stated and actual assessment duration. Improving these areas would create a better candidate experience.
