      Head of Engineering Interview

      16 Sept 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Picqer in Sept 2023

      Interview

After filling out their online application form using my LinkedIn profile, I received the request if something went wrong as they did not receive my resume or motivation. As my LinkedIn profile contains my resumé, I countered with the question which information they were missing so I could add it and that writing a motivation based solely on the basis of a job ad seemed premature (the job ad did ask for radical candor). The response was a pretty direct message (which in Dutch culture is part of normal discourse), but it also contained profanity, which in my opinion, crosses a redline in professional communication.
