I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Phillips Auctioneers (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview was fairly straight forward. I applied online and received a response looking to schedule an interview within a day or two. When I arrived I was taken up to an interview with the manager and a current client services rep. We got along well, making small talk and there were even a few laughs which I think helped. The manager was the main person asking questions but the rep also asked some. Nothing too out of the ordinary. It was clear the position meant putting on a lot of hats so along with art historical background a broad operations background is helpful, as well as client facing experience. From their description I gathered that a good demeanor and being able to diffuse a situation is very important. It went well and I received an employment offer within a few days.

Interview
The interview process was very smooth. I met with the manager and she was very polite and friendly. We went over the basics and she asked me a few questions, all of which are pretty common - nothing too tricky or out of the ordinary.
