I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Phillips 66 (South Killingholme, England) in Feb 2019
Interview
Very slick process altogether, although a long wait time to hear back initially. Applied in October, was invited for an interview at the Humber Refinery in February. Atmosphere very casual, recent graduates available for questions or queries in between assessments.
Assessments involved a one hour technical interview and a 10 minute presentation with questions. Interviewed by two senior process engineers, no questions designed to catch you out, simply to determine your past experience and current technical knowledge. The presentation was purely technical, also.
Tour of the refinery afterwards - very informative and a good way to gain an idea of the scale of the plant.
Refreshing to undergo such a comparatively hassle-free application process with no online testing, video/telephone interviews or day-long assessment centres.
