Horrible and appalling experience with Philips. This graduate program started with them asking us to take a gamified test, where they use mini games and quizzes to quantify cognitive capabilities. After passing this, we were asked to record ourselves talking to the camera as a recorded interview, After succeeding, we were invited to the final assessment day, a full day where were had to attend two talks by marketing managers, and then had an individual assessment, a group assessment, a 1-1 interview and a case study presentation. After completing this day, we were told we will hear back within 2 days. 2 days after the assessment day, I got the call that I was accepted to the Graduate Development Program, and that I was the favorite of the marketing managers who were silently assessing us working in group. This was the best day of my life. On that day, I was asked additional questions, such as my nationality, whether I need a visa, and to send my ID and passport copies. After completing all of that, I was told to wait for my contract to be sent to me. After 2 weeks of waiting, I receive a one-liner email, saying the position does not exist anymore, and they rescinded my offer. Back then, it was around 9 of us who got accepted in that cycle, and yet I was the ONLY one who got their offer rescinded. A friend of mine, who initially got rejected for being overqualified, was reached out to by Philips, after rejecting me, and was offered a position in the Graduate Development Program. After trying to reach HR, I was met with the most rude and inhumane treatment ever, by a company that supposedly uses technology to better people's lives, ironically. I would not recommend this program to my worst enemy. The one thing I would like to highlight: the marketing managers who interviewed me were very kind, professional, and were genuinely impressed by my background.
