My interview process was very fast, but only because I got lucky with timing. The position is based in Andover, MA, but my would be boss is in Eindhoven, NL. It just so happens that they were having their yearly meeting and all the needed people were in Andover. For others, the interview process can drag out a bit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I interviewed with three people at once. They asked the standard, "tell me about your yourself" and "walk me through your projects" type of interview questions. Nothing unexpected or unusually difficult. It's all about your portfolio and your ability to communicate the value of your work.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Philips (Nashville, TN) in Jun 2021
Interview
The interview was conducted over Microsoft teams through a panel style of three different managers on the team asking me different styles of questions. They wrapped it up by giving me time to ask some questions.
The Human Resource person was highly uninterested throughout the conversation, did not listen to what was said and kept asking the same questions. I always had a good impression of Philips. Hopefully, this HR person was only a black cheep?!
Very smooth, honest and respectful recruiting process. Scheduling interviews was easy and one's timeline and professional circumstances were taken into consideration. Communication was very good and the team and recruiters were always transparent about the process and expectations towards the role and the candidate.
