Very Unprofessional! It's okay if you think a candidate is not a good fit. At least, convey this message to the candidates so that they are not anxious 24/7 waiting for the next steps. It is very demotivating for a fresh graduate who's trying to get his/her foot in the industry. Every applicant deserves an explanation/feedback.
