The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart in May 2008
Interview
The store had a sign up stating that they were looking for new pet care specialists, and I asked the manager on the floor if I could apply that day. They gave me an application, and told me to come back with it on a certain day for an interview.
When I went for the interview, I and another applicant were taken to the back of the store to a break room and shown a video about the job responsibility and PetSmart's policies. After the video was over an employee came in and did a one-on-one interview with each of us, and then met with both of us after the interview was over.
The interviewer was helpful and answered my questions well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What type of different animal experience have you had and for how long?
This interview was simple and easy. The manager had a laid back atmosphere. Straightforward interview with usual questions. Took about thirty minutes to finish and it was only one interview.
Managers are very nice but pay isn’t great. Interview was very easy. Great place to work, but hard to live off of the income they offer. Have to have a love and passion for animals
